Diagnostic Scheduler


GI Associates & Endoscopy Center seeks an experienced scheduler for their Diagnostics Center.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule procedures for the Diagnostic Center
  • Assist staff and patients as needed
  • Serve as an assistant for procedures
  • Verify all patient information such as insurance, procedure history, family history, current medical condition, allergies, and medications patient is currently taking
  • Place documented information in patient charts
  • Issue patient information materials
  • Fax orders for outpatient scheduling to appropriate facility
  • Enter diagnosis and procedure into patient screen and complete precertification form in patient record
  • Assist Clinic Technician as needed
  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner according to departmental procedures
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality
  • Use oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with Gastrointestinal Associates policies and objectives
  • Maintain established Gastrointestinal Associates policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, and environmental and financial stewardship
  • Cooperate with medical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Implement job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with Gastrointestinal Associates Mission and Code of Ethics and is supportive of the Group's cultural diversity objectives
  • Perform other related work as required
  • Ideal candidate will have at least one year of full time work experience in a busy medical clinic or hospital, where responsibilities include scheduling procedures and assisting staff and patients
  • Current CMA or LPN license preferred
